How it works

Rehome is the simple way to buy and sell pre-loved furniture, electronics, appliances and kitchenware in Kenya. We connect buyers and sellers directly. You deal with each other, and you pay each other directly.

Selling in 4 steps

  1. Create a free account and verify your phone number with a one-time SMS code.
  2. Post your ad with clear photos (up to 10), a fair price and an honest description.
  3. Pay the listing fee of KSh 1 by M-Pesa. A prompt appears on your phone; just enter your PIN.
  4. We review it. A Rehome agent checks every ad before it goes live, usually within a few hours. Buyers then call or WhatsApp you directly.

Buying

  • Browse by category or county, or search for what you need.
  • Sign in and tap Show number to call or WhatsApp the seller.
  • Meet in a safe public place, inspect the item, and pay the seller only when you are happy.
  • After you contact a seller you can leave them a review to help others.

What Rehome does not do

Rehome never holds your money, never stores items and never delivers. We only charge the one-time listing fee. If anyone claims to be collecting payment “on behalf of Rehome”, it is a scam: please report it.
