Privacy policy
This policy follows the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Please have it reviewed before launch.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, and your verified mobile number.
- Listings you post, including photos and the general area (never your exact address).
- Payment records for listing fees (M-Pesa receipt number and amount). We never see or store your M-Pesa PIN.
- Basic technical data such as IP address, used for security and fraud prevention.
How your phone number is protected
Your number is never printed on listing pages. A buyer must be signed in and tap “Show number”. Each reveal is logged and limited per day to stop people collecting numbers.
How we use your data
- To run your account and show your listings.
- To review listings and keep the marketplace safe.
- To send you messages about your listings (email or SMS).
- To meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. Deleted listings are kept in our records for a limited time for safety and legal reasons.
